Police: 17-Year-Old Girl Shot To Death In Juarez

JUAREZ — Police are investigating the Friday night death of a 17-year-old girl in Juarez.

According to authorities, Katia Ivete Perez Sanchez was found lying at the corner of Juchitlan and Centauro in the Felipe Angeles colonia with gunshot wounds to her abdomen and face.

She was at a family party at that location when she was shot.

Perez Sanchez was conscious when she arrived at the Hospital de la Familia, around 9:40pm, but she died minutes later, according to authorities.

Authorities are continuing to investigate the shooting, while the victim’s body was taken to a forensics laboratory for an autopsy.
