Family Trying To Meet Funeral Costs For Woman Killed In Crash

Traffic investigatorssay a woman who died in an car wreck in Northeast El Paso early Saturday morning had her cellphone in hand when rescuers pulled her body out of her car.

The crash happened shortly before 4am at Dyer and Ellerthorpe. According to El Paso Police, 22-year-old Monica Viscarra may have been speeding when her car slammed into a steel pole.

Authorities are continuing to investigate this accident,and are stilltrying to determine if alcohol played a role.
