Man Arrested For 9th DWI Near Roswell
Roswell-Jay Barton, 42, of Gallup was arrested for the ninth time on DWI charges after he crashed the vehicle he was drivingnear Roswell, according to the New Mexico Dept. of Public Safety.
Just after 8 p.m.onMarch 13, Barton lost control of the vehicle and rolled over on 285 from the northbound lanes across the median and onto the southbound lanes of the highway near Roswell.
Bartonwas transported to Eastern New Mexico Medical Center where he was treated for minor injuries. Records show that this is hisninth arrest for DWI and that he had a valid driver’s license at the time of the crash.
He was arrested and booked into the Chaves County Detention Center.
