Motorcyclist Dead, Another Airlifted To UMC After Crash

RADIUM SPRINGS, NM — A motorcyclist is dead and another has been airlifted to University Medical Center in El Paso, Texas after a motorcycle wreck.

According to New Mexico State Police, two motorcyclists crashed at about 2:40 p.m. Sunday on North Valley Dr.

Terrance Benton Peterson, 28, of Santa Ana, California died at the scene of the crash.

The second man, who has not been identified, was airlifted to University Medical Center and was said to be in stable condition.

At this point, speed is believed to be a factor in the crash. State police investigators said both were headed north on the road when they lost control and hit a barrier.
