Precinct 6 Constable Charged With Assault

The district attorney’s office has charged Precinct 6 Constable Jesus Gustavo Ramirez with Assault Causing Bodily Injury, according to court records.

The charges stem from an incident that happened in September of 2009 and an arrest warrant has been issued for Ramirez’s arrest.

ABC-7 archives show Ramirez was arrested once before in connection to a bar fight on Christmas Eve 2008. According to a complaint affidavit for the incident, Ramirez got into an argument with a woman outside the Take Five Lounge off Yarbrough. When the woman’s husband confronted Ramirez, he allegedly struck the man in the face with a glass.

Ramirez was also arrested in Chavez County, New Mexico back in 1995 and charged with Possession of Cocaine. The charge was dropped when a jury found him not guilty.
