Teen Detained For Robbing Sears On Easter

El Paso Police officers detained a 14-year old boy in an aggravated robbery that occurred around 4 p.m. on Easter Sunday

The investigation revealed that the teen entered the Sears store inside Cielo Vista Mall and took more than 15 items, including cologne, mp3 players and clothes.

The investigation further revealed that the juvenile was hiding the items in a backpack and exited the store with the items making no attempt to purchase the items.

The juvenile allegedly attempted to use needle nose pliers to assault a loss prevention officer for the store when the officer tried to approach him.

El Paso Police Officers detained the juvenile and have presented this case to the Juvenile Probation Department.

All the property was recovered and loss prevention officer was treated for minor injuries.
