Alleged Mexican Cocaine Dealer Extradicted To El Paso
Jose Alonzo De La Madrid was extradicted from Mexico City to El Paso Friday morning, according to DEA officials.
De La Madrid was allegedly involved in the delivery of 270 kilos of cocaine in FEB of 2006. De la Madrid at the time, was arrested and charged with possession and conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute a controlled substance.
De la Madrid was released on bail and fled from the US to Mexico, according to DEA officials. He was recently found and arrested in Mexico by law enforcement there.
“This further demonstrates the commitment of the govt of Mexico against drug trafficking,” said Diana Apodaca, spokeswomen for the Drug Enforcement Administration.
