Police Ask Public For Help In Hit-And-Run Accident

The El Paso Police Department is asking for the public’s help in solving a hit-and-run accident that involved a bicyclist.

At about 10:35 p.m. May 6, Ruben Lemus, of Anthony, New Mexico, was riding his bicycle in the 7300 block of South Desert when he was struck by a vehicle. The vehicle fled the scene. Lemus was wearing a helmet and did have a flashing red light mounted on the rear of his bicycle. Lemus remains hospitalized.

Investigators are asking anyone with information regarding this collision to call police at 915.832.4400 or to remain anonymous to call Crime Stoppers at 915.566.8477.
