UTEP’s Commencement Ceremony Largest In School’s History

It’s a new era for UTEP’s graduating class.

More than 2,500 students walked across the stage as part of the university’s 124th commencement ceremony; it’s the largest graduating class in UTEP’s 96-year history.

And now that they’re set to enter the job market, some graduates are worried, others are confident about their future.

Nadia Abugalyon received a master’s degree in accounting. “It’s going to be difficult. I’m very close to my family; it’s going to be hard, but I know it’s going to benefit my career, and I can always come back home,” she said.

This year, UTEP also streamed the commencement ceremonies online for the first time.
