Manhunt Monday 05/24/10: Demetra Nitardy

This week?s MANHUNT MONDAY Most Wanted Fugitive is an individual wanted for KIDNAPPING her 6 year-old son, failing to return the boy to the father who is the rightful custodial parent. The target is identified as DEMETRA NITARDY (37) of El Paso, TX.

MARCH 2010: On 03-11-2010, Sheriff?s Office Detectives received a complaint about a Child Custody Dispute involving an Temporary Emergency Order issued from the 388th Judicial District Court. Sheriff?s Officials met with the Reporter / Complainant (biological father) of a 6 year-old child listed in the court order. The Reporter told authorities that in mid December 2009, he dropped off his son identified as JONATHAN JOEL NITARDY II (6) at his ex-wife?s (DEMETRA NITARDY?s) residence in west part of El Paso, TX. Per agreement of the court order, the Reporter was to pick up his son from NITARDY?s residence on Christmas Day 2009 at 10am. The Reporter advised authorities NITARDY knew of the court order which was signed on 11-20-2009 & she was fully aware that retaining or failing to turn over the minor child at scheduled time was a violation of the order. NITARDY is wanted on other criminal offenses she committed while living in El Paso, TX.

NITARDY has since then disappeared as she never returned 6 year-old JONATHAN to his school (Dr. Green Elementary) & has failed to contact the Reporter since Christmas Day 2009. The current whereabouts of DEMETRA and 6 year-old JONATHAN remain unknown at this time. On 3-22-10 the 388th district court has awarded full custody of JONATHAN to his father JON NITARDY Sr.

DEMETRA has a history of abuse & neglect and is believed to have taken JONATHAN out of El Paso, TX. They may have traveled to San Antonio or Houston, Texas, Lafayette, Louisiana, or Albuquerque, New Mexico. JONATHAN is biracial, he is Black and White. JONATHAN has a birthmark on the back of his neck , he may go by the nickname ?Jonny?.
