Manhunt Monday 02/15/10: Michael Barron

This week?s MANHUNT MONDAY Most Wanted Fugitive is an individual wanted for an Aggravated Robbery which took place on January 11, 2010. He has been identified as MICHAEL BARRON (24) of Canutillo, TX.

On January 11th, 2010 at about 11:30 PM, Deputies were dispatched to the Westway, Texas area in reference to an Aggravated Assault. Deputies arrived & met with a 16 year-old Juvenile male / Victim who told authorities he had just been assaulted & threatened with a knife by an unknown male offender. The Juvenile told Deputies that while walking down Kingsway St. in Westway, TX – he was approached by several male subjects, one of which claimed to be a Sureno Gang Member & told him to hand over his MP3 player. The Victim stated that when he refused, the subject began to assault him & displayed a knife & threatened him saying “DO YOU WANT ME TO STAB YOU”. The subject suddenly thrusted forward yielding the knife in an attempt to stab the Victim. The Juvenile managed to flee after suffering only minor injuries. The Juvenile Victim?s MP3 player was also taken during the assault. Charges have since been filed against the Offender who was identified as MICHAEL BARRON (24) of Canutillo, TX.

Authorities have been hot on the trail of BARRON who is believed to remain in the Borderland hiding with friends & relatives.
