Police Search For People Involved In Northeast Home Invasion

Imagine sitting in your living room watching television, when all of a sudden four men wearing ski masks burst into your home.

That’s what happened last night in northeast El Paso.

El Paso Police said the four masked men also had weapons – guns and a bat – which they used to hit one of the family members over the head after stealing his belongings.

Shortly after being released from the hospital, the victim told ABC-7 he’s sure who’s responsible – gang members.

It was a quiet, Tuesday night at a northeast El Paso apartment complex when all of a sudden, “These guys came in with guns bursting in. They ransacked my room and took my tattoo equipment, my I-pods, my PSP,” explained 30-year-old Alfredo Rivas.

“They came to my house, one of them was right there, right away he pulled out a gun and was like, get over there and sit down,” said Rivas.

Police said the four men were wearing ski masks and had guns and a bat, “They came to my house, one of them was right there, right away he pulled out a gun and was like, get over there and sit down,” Rivas said.

But he said one of the voices sounded very familiar, “I know who came in and stole my stuff.”

Rivas, a tattoo artist said it was about two weeks ago when, “I had done some tattoos on some individuals and those individuals have been the only individuals who have come here to my house.”

The men fitting the same description stopped by his home asking for a gang tattoo. Meanwhile neighbors say they’re shocked to hear the news in the usually quiet neighborhood, that’s now visited by police.

“Real calm here, I don’t here anything, ” said one neighbor.

The El Paso Police Department’s gang unit is now investigating,

“I don’t have issues with no gang members or nothing like that , I mind my own business, like I said I’m a tattoo artist,” said Rivas.
