Gunshots Scare East Side Residents
Residents in an East El Paso neighborhood woke up Tuesday morning to the sound of gunshots and later discovered three vehicles had been damaged by the bullets.
Police responded to the ‘shots fired’ call on the 9600 block of Falkirk at about 2:30 a.m. Tuesday.
No one was hit. One neighbor said she heard six gunshots.
Another resident said a house was targeted in a drive-by shooting last year. According to the ABC-7 archives, police responded to a shooting on the same street in February 2009.
The three adults and child in the home at the time weren’t hurt.
It’s still unclear if the same people who live there now -are the same ones who lived there then.
El Paso Police have not confirmed who or which house was targeted, if at all.
One concerned neighbor, who asked to remain anonymous due to fear, said this had altered their life.
“It’s not easy to sleep at night, I hear every little thing, any little noise, I wake up because I am afraid”, she said.
Police urge anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers at 915-566-8477.
