Indicted YISD Board Trustee Expected To Resign Monday
Ysleta Independent School Board trustees will hold a special meeting Monday night in which the District 7 trustee will resign, according to the agenda posted on the district’s Website.
The trustee for District 7 is Linda Chavez, one of 11 people indicted recently in the FBI’s six-year public corruption investigation. Chavez is accused of taking part in a conspiracy to get the district to award a health services contract to Access HealthSource. Chavez has pleaded not guilty.
