2 Men Walk Into A Bar, Allegedly Rob Man With Pool Cue And Screwdriver

El Paso Police charged two men with aggravated robbery after they allegedly used a pool cue and screwdriver to assault a man and rob him inside a bar on Monday afternoon.

Alberto Ruvalcaba, 19, of the 200 block of Baywood, and Carlos Lopez, 29,of the 14800 block of Flowers, allegedly were in the Elm Escandalo Bar at 3:45 p.m. on Monday when they allegedly pproached the victim and grabbed his wallet before assaulting the man as he tried to get his wallet back. o assault the victim as he attempted to get his wallet back.

Ruvalcaba ended up stabbing the victim in the upper torso with the screwdriver and Lopez swung the pool cue attempting to strike the victim who blocked and broke the pool cue, according to police.

Lower Valley police arrived and found a witness blocking the door to prevent Ruvalcaba and Lopez from leaving.

Both men were arrested and booked into the El Paso County Jail on $50,000 bonds each. The victim was treated at the scene for his injuries.

Robberies are down in the Mission Valley area by 13 percent compared to 2009.
