Barr wins reelection to Congress and now has his eye on possible committee chairmanship

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) — Republican U.S. Rep. Andy Barr has won reelection to represent his Kentucky district. Next up is his campaign to win a House committee chairmanship if the GOP maintains control of the chamber. Barr defeated Democrat Randy Cravens in the 6th District. Another Kentucky Republican, U.S. Rep. Brett Guthrie, is also hoping to land a House committee chairmanship. Guthrie faced Democrat Hank Linderman in the 2nd District. Barr is vying to lead the House Financial Services Committee. Guthrie is competing for the top slot on the House Energy and Commerce Committee.
