75th Annual Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony Tonight

The 75th annual Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony is tonight in San Jacinto Plaza in downtown El Paso.

The festivities begin at 4:30 p.m. and continue until 7:30 pm. tonight.

4:30 p.m. Music with the 62nd Army Band Brass Quintet from Fort Bliss. 5:00 p.m. Prelude Music by the Franciscanos Choir from St. Anthony Seminary 5:30 p.m. Various Welcome Speakers 5:50 p.m. Lighting of the Christmas Tree 5:55 p.m. Holiday Lights Parade 6:50 p.m. Fireworks Show 7:05 p.m. Laser Lights Show

Event organizers encourage you to arrive early to get the best viewing spot for all the events.

To cut down on traffic tie-ups, you should take the Cotton or Piedras exit off I-10 if you’re coming from the east, and those coming from the west are encouraged to get off on Porfirio Diaz.

We will of course bring it all live to you. Tune in to ABC-7 or log on to KVIA.com beginning at 4:30 p.m.
