Man Arrested After SWAT Standoff

A man was arrested Sunday morning and charged with making terroristic threats, criminal mischief and harrassment after a SWAT standoff.

At 5:40 a.m. Sunday, officers from the Mission Valley Regional Command Center were sent to the 900 block of Palma Sola in reference to a possible suicidal subject. Officers were unable to make contact with Moreno at the residence on Palma Sola. SWAT and Crisis Management Teams were then called to assist and were able to make contact with him via cell phone. The subject was located, surrendered and taken into custody at the 8600 block of North Loop where he was subsequently charged.
