Calls For Police Service Dropped In November

The El Paso Police Department responded to 39,399 dispatched calls for service during the month of November, the department announced on Friday.

With the month of November only having 30 days that averages to about 1,313 calls per day.

November’s numbers are the lowest recorded number of calls for service in the last 6 months.

During the previous six months the number of calls for service ranged from 42,068 in October of 2010 and reached it’s highest during the month of July 2010 when officers responded to 53,827 calls for service.

A monthly breakdown of calls for service for the last 7 months is as follows:

-May 2010: 44,898 -June 2010: 52,639 -July 2010: 53,827 -August 2010: 43,308 -September 2010: 42,709 -October 2010: 42,068 -November 2010: 39,399

The regional breakdown of dispatched calls for service during the month of November 2010 is as follows:

1. Central Regional Command: 9,243 2. Pebble Hills Regional Command: 8,769 3. Mission Valley Regional Command: 7,354 4. Northeast Regional Command: 7,248 5. Westside Regional Command: 6,785
