Northeast Bakery Explosion Sends 2 To Hospital
A couple ordering some sweet bread Wednesday morning in northeast El Paso got quite a surprise.
“All we heard was a loud boom. It sounded like a bomb. And it pushed us to the side,” said Isaias Rodriguez.
Fire officials say an oven exploded at the Supreme Bakery on McCombs Street.
The blast was so loud it blew out two of the front windows.
Fire officials say two employees, a man and a woman, were sent to the hospital.
The man had second-degree burns.
No word yet on what caused the explosion.
