Man Charged In Sunday Hit-And-Run

El Paso Police have charged one person in a hit-and-run collision from Sunday night. Aldrian Michael Tom, 29, of the 6300 block of Deer, was driving a 2010 Mazda north on Gateway North when he allegedly failed to stop at the intersection of Alameda.

The Mazda allegedly disregarded the stop sign, entered the intersection and collided with a west bound 1995 white Ford Explorer driven by Larry Brown.

The Mazda continued through the intersection coming to rest after colliding with a motel building. Tom allegedly fled on foot after the collision. Brown was transported to University Medical in critical but stable condition.

Police said that Tom was operating the Mazda at the time of the collision. Tom was arrested and charged with Accident Involving Personal Injury of Death. He was booked into the El Paso County Jail on a bond of $17,500.
