90-Year-Old Hit By Train In Lower Valley

A 90-year-old male in a ’96 Saturn survived being hit by a train Wednesday morning in the Lower Valley.

The accident occurred at 8:37 a.m. when the unidentified man was traveling northbound at 300 N. Zaragoza.

El Paso Police said the railroad crossing arms came down and that the male tried to go around the arms when he was struck by the eastbound train.

The man was transported to Del Sol Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.
