UTEP-UCF Game Rescheduled For Monday, Feb. 21

EL PASO, TEXAS ? The UTEP men?s basketball team?s home game versus UCF has been rescheduled for Monday, Feb. 21 at 11 a.m.

The game was originally scheduled to be played on Feb. 2, but was postponed after sub-freezing temperatures gripped the city of El Paso and prompted power outages throughout the city.

?We are appreciative of UCF?s efforts to work with us in rescheduling the game,? UTEP Director of Athletics Bob Stull said. ?Their student-athletes already missed three days of class to come here the first time. The early start will enable them to return to Orlando for classes on Feb. 22. It will also allow our team to catch its afternoon flight to Greenville for our game at East Carolina [Feb. 23]. At the same time, we will have ticket and concession specials in place so fans can celebrate President?s Day with the Miners on Feb. 21.?

Tickets to the Feb. 2 game will be honored on Feb. 21. Fans holding single-game tickets who are unable to attend on Feb. 21 can have their tickets refunded or exchanged for seats to any of the Miners? remaining home games, excluding Memphis, while supplies last:

SMU (Feb. 12) Houston (Feb. 19) Marshall (March 2)

Refunds and exchanges do not apply to UTEP season ticket packages.

In addition, a special President?s Day luncheon single-game ticket price of $9 has been instated for the Feb. 21 game. Fans can also take advantage of a President’s Day concession special, consisting of a hot dog, popcorn and soft drink for only $5.

All refunds and exchanges should be made through the University Ticket Center, located at Mesa and Glory Road. The ticket center is open Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., and will also be open Saturday beginning at 8 a.m. through tip-off of the SMU game at 7:05.
