Balloons Knock Out Power To Thousands In Las Cruces
El Paso Electric officials said there has been a power outage in Las Cruces since about 5 p.m. Monday in the Central/Downtown area.
The cause was mylar balloons released in the area that got tangled up in wires. There are about 2,000 customers without power.
Crews are working to restore power to area the area, the spokeswoman said.
