Update: El Paso Police Identify City’s 9th Murder Victim

Update: El Paso Police have identified the man who was found dead Thursday morning as Juan Jose Esquivel, 33, of the 9800 block of Isaac in El Paso.

Previous Story: El Paso Police are investigating the ninth murder of the year.

At about 6:40 a.m. a man was found dead along an irrigation ditch near the 350 block of N. Nevarez.

Police Crimes Against Persons investigators identified the deceased as a Hispanic male in his 30s.

This is the ninth murder of 2011 as compared to one during this same time period in 2010.
