El Paso-Based Smokin’ Hot Mama Club Inspiring Women Internationally

Laura Mitchell is in a good place. In the past year, her life has undergone an overhaul and it all began when she joined the Smokin Hot Mama Club.

?My goal was to get healthy,? Mitchell said.

Mitchell?s family history includes diabetes and high blood pressure and other health issues.

?As a nurse, I figured why wait til I get there,? Mitchell said. ?Stop being lazy and do something about it.?

She found support in the Smokin? Hot Mama Club, a free international club that was founded right here in El Paso. It is a place where women can truly feel accepted, where they can be encouraged, share their problems without being judged, and know they won?t be talked about after they?ve left.

Mitchell found support in the Smokin? Hot Mama Club, where she discovered tips she said helped her become a better mom.

?If I want to give my family the best, I have to bet my best,? Mitchell said. ?Take myself off that back burner. Feel good about myself. They reap the benefits of a happy, healthy mommy.?

The Smokin? Hot Mama Club is for every woman and is designed to create a network of support. It is a club with a message that is now 7,000 members strong in 27 countries, thanks to the power of Facebook.

?Women have forgotten how to treat one another. We are catty and can just tear each other apart. It’s time women join together and say I feel good today and I’m ready to help someone else,? said Pamela Crimm, founder of the club, who has seen many a lady change her life around ? starting with herself.

?My transition was losing 45 pounds and putting the focus on the inside,? Crimm said. ?If I want to give my family the best, I have to be my best.?

A message that?s also important for future generations of mommies is to let ?em know how necessary self-confidence is.

? We fail…telling our girls to be confident, and they’re beautiful, but we don’t feel that way about ourselves, so they need to see why it’s important to see mom saying, “I feel good!” Crimm said.

Crimm said she plans to travel the world, inspiring mamas everywhere to be their best.

On March 5, the club will host a pep rally before the El Paso Marathon. Crimm stressed the pep rally is not just for runners and not just for mamas. It?s an inspiring event for the whole family.
