Sugar Detox: Day 16

Day 16: It’s all downhill from here, right?

I’m past the halfway point and I have to say, I’m pretty proud of myself.

I’ve been victorious (for the most part) in my epic battles with my sugar cravings. I’ve lost 5 pounds and gained a ton of energy. I even stopped drinking sodas as an afternoon pick-me-up.

But succeeding in a few battles isn’t going to win the war. Now that I’m in control of what I eat, it’s time to start forming lifelong habits.

Everyone keeps asking me what I’ll eat after my 30-day experience is over. My answers have changed throughout this experience. The first few days of my diet, I would have answered that at midnight I’d have my dining room table packed with a spread of cheesecake, ice cream, and Count Chocula.

Now that I’ve seen how my body reacts to sugar, I’d like to keep with my new lifestyle and even begin adding exercise to my daily regiment. I’d like to know what my abs look like. I’ve never had abs before and I think wearing a bikini would be amazing.

I’m not going to lie, there’s still a giant gooey cinnamon roll with my name on it when this is all said and done. I’ll probably even add one cheat dessert a week where I can splurge, so long as I don’t binge.

I’ve gotten so many emails from viewers and fans who have started eating healthier as well. If you’ve started eating better, comment below. Tell me one goal you’d like to achieve by the end of my 30-day detox. Then, in two weeks when I’m finished, we should all meet up for a group lunch and talk about what we’ve learned and share our experiences.
