West Side Traffic Stop Leads To Pot, Ecstasy Bust

A traffic stop Thursday evening at 500 Executive Center Blvd. turned into a drug bust after police found pot and Ecstasy, according to the El Paso Police Department.

Police initially stopped 33-year-old Emilio Villarreal after a traffic lane violation, but after an officer saw Villarreal suspiciously place an unknown object in the center console, further investigation led to the discovery of the drugs.

Officers said they found 13 Ecstasy pills and 4 grams of marijuana in Villarreal’s possession. He was arrested on charges of possession of a controlled substance, as well as possession of marijuana.

Villarreal was booked into the El Paso County Jail on a $2,800 bond.
