El Paso Police: Driver Refuses To Stop, Found With Cocaine

El Paso police officers arrested a northeast El Paso man after a traffic stop Thursday night.

Investigators said Victor Fernandez, 24, refused to stop his 2011 Chevy Malibu after committing numerous traffic violations shortly after 10 p.m.

Police said Fernandez was eventually stopped on the 4700 block of Salem. Investigators said he was in possession of 0.6 grams of cocaine.

Fernandez is charged with possession of controlled substance less than 1 gram and evading arrest.

He was booked into the El Paso County Jail, with bail set at $3,000.
