6000 Customers Without Electricity In Northeast

About 6,000 El Paso Electric customers in Northeast El Paso are without power after an electrical pole caught fire shortly before noon, causing three feeder lines to go down.

According to Teresa Souza, El Paso Electric spokeswoman, an electrical pole near the Milagro substation located between US 54 and Dyer caught fire.

Repair crews estimate it will take about 45 minutes to restore power.
