Woman Charged With Cocaine Possession After Being Pulled Over for Speeding

El Paso Police have charged a female with Possession of Controlled Substance ? Cocaine after a late night traffic stop.

The investigation revealed that Matilde VALENZUELA was driving a blue Pontiac Vibe 65 miles per hour in a posted 50 mile per hour zone at Cassidy and Gateway North at 11:42 p.m., Thursday, 06-16-2011 when she was stopped by a Central Patrol officer.

Further investigation revealed that VALENZUELA did not have her driver?s license or proof of insurance, had two outstanding municipal warrants, and was in possession of 2 grams of cocaine which was located in her purse.

VALENZUELA was placed under arrest and booked into the El Paso County Jail on Possession of Controlled Substance ? cocaine Over 1 gram and Under 4 grams on bonds totaled $5,000.00.
