Man Standing In Middle Of Intersection Charged With Cocaine Possession

El Paso Police have arrested a central El Paso man for possession of cocaine early Friday morning.

Officers from Central Regional Command saw Alejandro CASTRO standing in the middle of the intersection at Sixth St. and S. Park at 12:44 a.m., Friday, 06-17-2011.

As officers approached CASTRO began running down the middle of the street and officers were able to catch him at 1200 E. Seventh. The investigation revealed that CASTRO was in possession of 1.3 grams of cocaine.

CASTRO was placed under arrest and booked into the El Paso County Jail on Possession of Controlled Substance Over 1 gram and Under 4 grams. His bond was set at $2,500.00
