Man Accused Of Driving Drunk Was Speeding At 104 MPH, Police Said

Officers with the El Paso Police Department’s DWI Task Force arrested a man who they say was driving 104 mph about 2:15 p.m. Friday on the Spur 601.

Police said 24-year-old Adrian Linton, of the 4000 block of Tierra Venado Drive, showed signs of intoxication when he was pulled over.

Officer spotted a black 2001 Ford F-150 traveling east along Spur 601 and estimated the speed to be about 100mph. The officers radar confirmed the speed to be 104 mph. The officer was able to catch up to the Ford pickup and conduct a traffic stop. Adrian Linton was found to be the person driving the truck. There was a male passenger inside of the truck as well.

Linton was arrested on suspicion of DWI. He was booked into the El Paso County Jail with set at $600.
