The Classroom Fund is a project of the El Paso Community Foundation created to support El Paso and Las Cruces Area teachers. The Classroom Fund will provide requested classroom materials directly to teachers.

How It Works

Teachers request funds through the Teacher Request Form. Classroom Fund Review Committee reviews requests. Requests are funded based on merit and funds available. Materials are delivered to the teacher. Teacher provides a thank-you note to Classroom Fund donors.

In order to request classroom materials, you must meet the following eligibility requirements:

You are a full-time educator in the El Paso / Las Cruces area. “Full-time educator” includes public or private school teachers, librarians, guidance counselors, school nurses and full-time teachers who may also act as coaches. You spend 75% of your time working directly with students. You commit to posting requests for materials that your students will directly use/experience. Your request is for materials with a total cost of $1,000 or less. You commit to reporting on the use of materials by writing a thank you note to donors to be posted to the website.

The Classroom Fund will accept and fund Teacher Requests based on the schedule below:

Requests accepted from December 1 – January 31 will be funded in February. Requests accepted from September 1 – October 31 will be funded in November.

Making a donation to the Classroom fund empowers El Paso area teachers to create a more effective learning environment for their students. Donations made to the Classroom Fund are used to fund the requests selected by the Classroom Fund Review Committee. Please complete payment information below to donate online.
