Police Arrest Two Men Wanted In Kidnapping And Beating Of Woman

Dona Ana County Sheriff’s Office said they arrested two men who were wanted by police in the kidnapping and beating of a woman over the weekend.

Sheriff’s officials said two men, 45-year-old David Grill and 42-year-old Michael Strubhar, turned themselves into authorities Wednesday afternoon after an intense manhunt.

According to authorities, a 22-year-old woman said Strubhar picked her up at a motel on West Picacho Avenue and then drove her to meet Grill, who then allegedly tried to strangle the woman with a rope in the backseat. The woman also claimed the men drove her into the desert, robbed her, beat her and abandoned her.

The suspects claim the woman was stealing from them.

Both men are charged with five felonies, including kidnapping, robbery and aggravated battery.

Grill and Strubhar were transported to the Doa Ana County Detention Center, where they will be held on a $100,000 bond.
