Neon Desert Announces More Bands; Is At The Drive-In Headed To Marfa?

Neon Desert Music Festival organizers announced more bands to its lineup on Wednesday morning.

Bands added include Le Butcherettes, Penguin Prison, Class Actress, Zechs Marquise, The DA, Eureka the Butcher and Sadah Luna, Dependientes Del Beat, Kontra Golpe Noise Manifesto, and Esteban Carrasco.

Previous music acts announced include Moby DJing and Sparta headlining.

Meanwhile, reunited El Paso band At the Drive-In has tweeted a map of Texas with a star in Western Texas. The tweet and the star, which appear in the Marfa area, do not indicate an exact date or location for a show. When the band has tweeted a map in the past they have announced a concert date for that area a few days later.

Ballroom Marfa, which has hosted several high profile concert performances in recent years, has tweeted that an “epic secret” show will take place on April 12 with tickets going on sale on Thursday at noon El Paso time. The act has not been announced but given At the Drive-In will be performing at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival on April 15 and April 22 a warm-up show a few days before would seem to make sense.

At the Drive-In is slated to play other festivals in Europe and Japan later this year.
