Manhunt Monday 04/16/12: Jorge G. Rios

This week?s MANHUNT MONDAY Most Wanted Fugitive is a local con-artist scheming people out of money. The target has been identified as JORGE G. RIOS (44) of El Paso, TX.

2011 / 2012 In recent months the name JORGE G. RIOS has surfaced on various occasions pertaining to Theft cases. RIOS was recently employed by a Utah based Life Insurance Company. Acting as an agent, RIOS was selling pre-need Funeral Insurance Policies in and around the East El Paso County area. RIOS would sell a contract to a customer & would arrange monthly payments for his clients (each being a different dollar value). RIOS would then return once a month to meet with his clients & collect the premiums (even providing a receipt). After further Investigation, it was learned RIOS would submit the first installments made on the contracts & then he would keep the rest of the money.

Sheriff?s Office Detectives are urging the Community – if anyone has made any business transactions with JORGE G. RIOS to please contact Sheriff?s Office White Collar Crime Investigators at (915) 538-2291 as you too could be a Victim & not know it.

Sheriff?s Detectives have worked up 2 Arrest Warrants (so far) for JORGE G. RIOS for the Offense of MISAPPLICATION OF FIDUCIARY PROPERTY (MISAPPLYING FUNDS). He is believed to remain in the Borderland area.
