Shots Fired, Cars Vandalized Near Las Cruces Apartment Complex
Shots were fired and several vehicles were vandalized in a South Las Cruces neighborhood late Monday night.
Police say it happened along South Espina about a block away from an apartment complex near Montana and Alamo.
Residents of the apartment complex tell ABC-7 a man walked out of an apartment and started bashing out car windows with a baseball bat. This allegedly happened soon after the shots were fired.
“We heard a pop, so I ran outside and then we heard bam, bam, bam,” said a man who did not want to be identified.
Residents said this is the third time this week police have been called out to their complex to investigate domestic violence.
Police said no injuries were reported, but neighbors say they’re upset and want something done about the ongoing problem in their neighborhood.
“Police have been out here three times and have not made any arrests,” the man added, “this is domestic violence at it’s worst.”
