TxDOT To Share Plan To Link Paisano And Schuster On Tuesday

The future plans to enhance access from Paisano Drive to The University of Texas at El Paso and its surrounding neighborhoods will be the focus of a public meeting conducted by the Texas Department of Transportation from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, May 1, in UTEP?s El Paso Natural Gas Conference Center on campus.

Renderings, proposed engineering layouts and a project schedule will be among the displayed items and materials will be presented in English and Spanish. There will be no formal presentation, but TxDOT representatives will be available to answer questions, said Blanca Del Valle, the department?s public information office.

The proposed Spur 1966 would create a bridge over Interstate 10 that connects Schuster Avenue where it ends at UTEP to Paisano. The estimated project length would be about 0.7 miles.
