NMSU BASEBALL TEAM HEADS TO NCAA TOURNAMENT IN TUCSON, ARIZONA

The New Mexico State baseball team is headed to the NCAA tournament as a 2-seed in Southern Arizona. NMSU will play Louisville on Friday at 5 p.m. Las Cruces/El Paso time. The Aggies earned a #2 seed and will be playing in Tucson, Arizona. NMSU (35-22) was considered a bubble team. However, because of a tough early-season schedule, NMSU slipped in with an RPI of 25. The host, 17th ranked Arizona, could be the most formidable team in the bracket. The Aggies are the KVIA Community Champions sponsored by El Paso Electric. KVIA ABC-7 Reporter David Concha will shadow the New Mexico State baseball team in during it’s post-season run. Look out for reports from Tucson by Concha starting Friday on ABC-7 at 6 and 10 p.m. NMSU hasn’t played Louisville this season. However, earlier in the year, New Mexico State swept Arizona in a 2-game series in Tucson. At that time, the Aggies were in the AP Top 25.
