Man murdered in east side house party stabbing
A man was stabbed on El Paso’s east side at a house party early Sunday morning, according to police.
Officials said the incident occurred just after midnight on the 11400 Block of Bob Mitchell Drive.
Police are only describing the man as African-American El Paso resident who is 21-years-old.
Officers from the Pebble Hills Regional Command Center responded to a suspicious vehicle call on the 11400 Block of Bob Mitchell Drive when they observed a very large house party with multiple people outside the residence.
The responding officers heard that a man had been injured at the party and found the victim at the intersection of Bob Mitchell and Glen Campbell Drive.
The man was taken to Del Sol Medical Center with serious injuries and died shortly after arriving at the hospital.
Investigators are still looking into what led to the stabbing, including a possible fight at the party.
This is the city’s 17th murder of the year, as compared to 14 at this time last year.
