Friday morning vehicle fires under investigation

El Paso fire investigators are looking into a couple of suspicious vehicle fires that happened Friday morning.

While not close by, they both occurred in neighborhoods off of North Loop Drive.

The first happened around 2:30 Friday morning on the 7200 block of Dale road. Firefighters say a red Hyundai Elantra that was parked along the curb caught fire, and they have not been able to confirm who owns the car.

And about 5 minutes after the first fire, a emergency crews were called to another vehicle fire on the 8500 block of Danube Circle. In that case, a truck parked in a driveway was found on fire. The fire was put out before the home was damaged and no injuries were reported in either fire.

Investigators say both fires appear to be suspicious in nature.
