Officer assaulted is still on life support, says family
The El Paso Police officer Jonathan Molina who was assaulted last week is still on life support, said brother Mauricio.
Mauricio said his family is still waiting for tests to be performed on his 29-year-old brother. He said the family has no immediate plans to pull Molina off of life support.
The family still has hopes that Molina will get a chance at life, said Mauricio.
EL Paso Police have arrested the two teenagers accused of attacking Molina while off duty.
The alleged attack happened at around 5 p.m. Tuesday on the 4100 block of Trowbridge.
According to court documents Molina confronted 17-year-old Juan Antonio Gonzalez and two other teens because they allegedly keyed his car. Gonzalez then allegedly punched officer Molina in the face and grabbed his leg, causing him to fall to the ground and hit his head.
