Hiking With A Cultural & Historical Twist In Southern New Mexico

The Gila National Forest is just about a two hour drive from the borderland. It’s a beautiful forest that El Paso and Las Cruces residents have been vacationing and hiking in for decades. Paul Cicala continues his series of “things to do in and near El Paso” and continued his quest to prove the “angry borderland resident” wrong. -Yes, the one that always says “There’s nothing to do around here!”

Cicala personally took the task upon himself, and lugged a camera and equipment up along the way, to prove a point: there is plenty to do here along the border. You just have to open your eyes, -and your mind-, and take advantage!!
