The Make-a-Wish Foundation makes dreams come true for one cancer patient

EL PASO, Texas (KVIA)--For 15 year old Mya who is battling cancer going shopping and getting a cell phone are on the list of things that would make her most happy. Today the Make a Wish Foundation and Cricket wireless stepped in to make Mya's wish come true.

Community vendors joined the cause to lessen the financial burden on her family. Surprises include a care package from Motorola, a $100 gift card from Wing Kings, headphones from Progressive, and so much more.

Gabriela Alvarado, the marketing manager for Cricket wireless said because Cricket Wireless is in the business of spreading smiles they will also be giving her six months of complimentary cricket wireless service.


Mya's mom Liliana Perez said "I feel very grateful with all these businesses that helped make Mya's dream come true. We are very thankful and very happy and pleased. Because not only is it a big help for Mya, but also for the entire family."
