$255M infrastructure investment in Vinton

VINTON, Texas (KVIA) -- Today, El Paso County Judge Ricardo Samaniego is taking part in the announcement of a $255 million infrastructure investment in the Village of Vinton.

Vinton Steel broke ground today as part of the celebrations for the $255 million investment. The project will expand the steel plant's current location, bringing more jobs and business opportunities to the area.

El Paso County says it also exposed the project to increase supplier and manufacturing activity. ABC-7 first brought you this news about the investment back in February. That's when Governor Greg Abbott visited El Paso County to make the initial announcement about the investment.
