Hanks girls wrestling team takes state title

Hanks celebrated its victory in the Texas4A Girls wrestling tournament after taking the highest honor in the state.

This is the first time any El Paso school wins the state title in wrestling.

Some of the big performances included Hanks Junior Danielle Flores who pinned Amarillo Caprock’s Janae McDaniel. Hanks Freshman Adrienne Holguin beat Victoria West’s Lorraina Moses.

The team will arrive back in town from Dallas Sunday. ABC-7’s Weekend Sports Anchor, Collin Carroll will have more on this big win for the Knightson ABC-7 at Ten.
