EPISD wants input on superintendent search

(Oct. 2012 story)

The El Paso Independent School District wants community interaction before naming it’s next permanent superintendent.

The school district already enacted the help of a group called “Proact Search.”

Part of their process before going out and finding candidates is to listen to community members in order to form a profile for prospective hires.

Several meetings will take place to gather input.

Each high school within the district will host a meeting, and the public is invited to attend.

Meetings are scheduled on the following dates:

Monday, Oct. 22, 6 p.m.
Burges High School, Gymnasium
Chapin High School, Theater

Wednesday, Oct. 24, 6 p.m.
Franklin High School, Theatre
Jefferson High School, Silva Health Magnet’s Auditorium

Thursday, Oct. 25, 6 p.m.
