El Paso Electric crews to help restore power in New York instead of Baltimore

El Paso Electric will be sending crews to assist in the restoration of power in the wake of Hurricane Sandy and the northeast storms. EPE crews and equipment, originally scheduled to assist in the restoration of power in Maryland, will now head to New York to assist Consolidated Edison (ConEdison) restore power to its customers. ConEdison of New York provides electric service to approximately 3.3 million customers.

EPE will now be sending three crews and as well as damage assessors, approximately 28 people, in addition to bucket trucks, boom trucks and other equipment. The EPE crews will fly to the area later this week.

Company send-off for crews before deployment

Three EPE crews and damage assessors, approximately 28 people, will fly to New York later on Friday. Prior to their departure, the crews will gather for a company send-off.
