Beto O’Rourke defeats Barbara Carrasco to win congressional seat

Beto O’Rourke, the former El Paso city representative, beat Barbara Carrasco handily in the congressional race according to the unofficial final results from El Paso County Elections.

BARBARA CARRASCO REP 50,478 32.82%
BETO O’ROURKE DEM 100,804 65.54%
JUNART SODOY LIB 2,529 1.64%

O’Rourke defeated incumbent Silvestre Reyes earlier this year.
